Potassium sulphate

BUSHMANS chemical storage tanks have suitable chemical resistance to hold Potassium sulphate under certain conditions. This chemical resistance is based on evaluations undertaken on the advanced polyethylene raw material we use to fabricate our tanks.

BUSHMANS chemical storage tanks have their physical properties evaluated and tested in the absence of internal pressure and external mechanical stress at the internationally accepted standard service temperature of 23C.

We recommend chemical storage tank colours that are opaque, using a base polyethylene that has achieved a hoop design basis of 8.62Mpa and meets the material requirements of the AS/NZS4766 Chemical Tank standard.

If you expect your service temperature to be above 23C, please inform us of your detailed service conditions, and we can confirm if this can still be safely handled.

BUSHMANS have had over 30 years experience manufacturing chemical storage tanks. BUSHMANS proven tank design will be able to manage the Potassium sulphate, as long as the tank is installed correctly. Flexible connections with fittings that allow for lateral and vertical expansion and contraction of the tank during service are required on the lower third of the side wall. Flexible connections will also reduce pump and piping vibration stress on the tank.

Users need to confirm the chemical concentration and the liquid Specific Gravity to ensure that the correct tank design is offered for your liquid storage solution.
