Bushmans offers delivery to Kangaroo Island from our Adelaide manufacturing and distribution facility. There is a delivery charge to Kangaroo Island due to the ferry crossing and distance from the factory. Click here for more information.

Kangaroo Island is Australia’s third-largest island and the economy is primarily based on agriculture, fishing and tourism in recent years. With a permanent population of just over 4,400 people, it is a small but important part of the South Australian landscape.

The major industries here include grapes, honey, wool, meat, grain, sheep and beef grazing, southern rock lobsters and tourism. These industries and the island landscape have led to the widespread use of water tanks.

The island climate is temperate with the winters mild and wet and the summers warm and dry. The average annual rainfall ranges from 450 mm to 900 mm per annum which is a wide rainfall range for a relatively small area. Due to the predominately winter rainfall pattern rainwater harvesting is a main source of fresh water supply and the use of rainwater tanks to store this water is widespread.

The main town on Kangaroo Island is Kindscote with a population of over 1,800 people. There are smaller towns of Penneshaw, American River and Parndana on the island. Bushmans has a reseller based in Kingscote.
