In Western QLD and station country water tanks are an essential part of every operation and Bushmans has been servicing this market since 1989. Whether it is a tank for the house, a stock water tank or 50 tanks for a bore scheme Bushmans has a water tank to suite.
Our poly tanks are made from our own Sunsmart® raw material and they are designed to last in western QLDs hot and dry conditions. Our Aqualine galvanized water tanks have fully galvanized walls and trusses and a strong Polytough® liner. We pride ourselves in designing and manufacturing a tank that will last in Queenslands western regions.
Our tank come in sizes from 660 litres to 46,400 litres in our Bushmans Poly tank range and our Aqualine galvanized water tank ranges sizes start at 22,500 litres and go through to 363,000 litres.
Bushmans delivery throughout the western region and we also install our Aqualine tanks on site. We cover the region including the major service towns in the region of Longreach, Winton, Blackall, Barcaldine. Bedourie, Birdsville, Boulia, Urandangi, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Yaraka, Jundah, Stonehenge, Windorah, Alpha, Aramac, Jericho, Tambo, Muttaburra, Charleville, Roma, Augathella, Windorah, Thargomindah, St George and Cunnamulla. These towns are serviced by local Bushmans stockists who provide service and support in the selection and installation of water tanks.
Bushmans offer free delivery for our poly tanks within 400 kms of our Dalby manufacturing and distribution facility. For deliveries outside the free delivery zone there is a freight charge based on the distance from the factory. Click here for more information.
Western Queensland is the dry heart of the state – it has an extensive grazing industry coupled with large scale irrigation and a major mining and gas industry. This region is highly reliant on water from the Great Artesian Basin and rainwater harvesting systems. Water from these sources will always require water tanks as part of their water supply system.
The climate in Western Queensland is semi-arid to arid with very hot summers and mild winters. The rainfall in this region ranges from 170 mm in the far western regions of the state up to 590 mm in the eastern parts of Western QLD. The rain falls mainly in the summer months with periods of heavy rainfall, the winters are relatively dry. With this type of rainfall pattern rainwater harvesting and the use of rainwater tanks is an important source of clean water.
