A children’s wading pool is a pool that is very small and usually less than 1 metre deep. It is intended for children to be able to play in safely.
Children’s wading pools are intended for ages 6 and up. Children should be supervised at all times around a wading pool.
A wading pool is meant for kids (or adults) to have fun in and keep cool in summer. A wading pool’s small size is ideal to be emptied regularly and put away during colder months.
Plunge pools can be good for kids if they just want to cool off. However due to the smaller size of a plunge pool they are not ideal for games and swimming laps. They are intended for relaxing in and cooling off.
It is called a wading pool as is about wading height. They are never deeper than an average person’s waist height.
A wading pool is not ideal for exercise. For children they will likely burn a lot of calories splashing around in a wading pool. However, it is too small to do laps or proper exercise.
