Is there drought assistance available?

Drought assistance is available for those who are being adversely affected by the ongoing impacts of the drought.

The various government branches have initiated several drought assistance plans and packages. If you or someone you know is being affected by the drought, it is important that they know what assistance is available to them. These government support initiatives can take many forms including providing monetary support, stock and feed support, incentives and rebates for the purchase of water infrastructure such as water tanks and mental health counselling. There are also a number of drought relief charities who are who are helping farmers in drought through drought relief donations.
