Bushmans are pleased to announce their ongoing commitment to Landcare Australia. The natural synergy between the two organisations has been strengthened from last year, when the partnership was established, the outcomes of the collaboration have gone from strength to strength.
Last year Bushmans donated close to $50,000 to the Landcare Australia Bushfire & Natural Disaster Recovery Program. Bushmans also supported the Junior Landcare program through the Bushmans Junior Landcare Grants program, inviting selected primary schools in NSW, QLD, SA and VIC to apply for grants of up to $1,000 to fund an environmental project with a focus on water conservation (total $15,000).
The Junior Landcare program is “encouraging young people to engage and get them actively involved in ensuring a safe future of the environment for generations to come.” Bushmans are continuing their support of the Bushmans Junior Landcare Grants program in 2020. New for this year’s programme is that both high schools and primary schools have been invited to apply for the grant. The geographical spread is also greater, with Northern Queensland added to the mix.
Once again, the grants provided by the Bushmans and Landcare Australia partnership will allow the successful schools to engage in environmental projects that focus on water conservation at their school. Keep your ear to the ground and stay tuned for when the winner’s announcement in early spring!
