Background
Sydney Water is Australia’s largest water utility, providing water, wastewater, recycled water and some stormwater services to Greater Sydney. They keep the water flowing in all of Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra.
Project concept
Sydney Water continues working towards the Shellharbour Wastewater Treatment Plant and within their servicing strategy for 2020-2030 is to resolve several operating constraints to continue treatment of wastewater for discharge to ocean.
Their goal is keeping promoting biosolids stabilisation by anaerobic digestion, followed by dewatering and beneficial land application. The impact of addressing reliable constraints and increase biosolids stabilisation capacity helps to guarantee servicing beyond 2030.
They needed a company a solution and Bushmans was able to fabricate tanks and overflows, with a very tight delivery schedule.

Sydney Water partnered with Bushmans to overcome the challenges of treating wastewater. Bushmans missions is to save water and to deliver good water back to the environment.
Our engineers, in partnership with Sydney Waters designers worked together to create the best and most efficient project. They thought of each detail to accommodate the overflows and accessories that the tank would need to meet the project needs.
Bushmans delivered the tanks on time and helped to treat countless litres of water, assisting the clients to serve the community for many years to come.
