The dryer regions of western NSW have an annual rainfall of under 250mm per annum to over 400 mm per annum. This, is coupled with extremely high temperatures over the summer months, makes rainwater harvesting crucial in these parts of NSW. Rainwater tanks and bores are critically important in providing water to the population, to the farming enterprises and to mining industry.
